Shadow Stabbing

I recently have had a bit of dialogue floating in my head.
There's a point in the story where Damen decides he needs to see a shrink.
After a couple of sessions he lets it slip that he's killed, and this is what happens-

"This is not confessional, Mr. Fionas. I do have the right to go to the authorities with this information."
"I thought all religions were disbanded."
"That's beside the point."
"You still practice, don't you? That's a crime as well, you know."
"I'm fairly sure you beat me in the crime department."
"That's probably true."
"You're oddly calm for a person who just admitted to murder."
"I'm a pretty calm guy."
